c3catfishshearer I am going back to my hole on The Platte River saturday with my brother and my step father. I can not wait it will be fun. My mom and step father just moved back here from Minnesota. So I want to show him a thing or 2 and just spend some quality outdoor time.

c3catfishshearer Fishing report 03/10 Platte River at mouth of Smithville Lake Water conditions were muddy 39 degrees medium current. It rained 1 inch the night before. Low pressure with a cold front that passed Air temp 48 light winds. I caught 2 4 lbers on worm and 1 on shiner. Had alot of bites on worms.

c3catfishshearer Weather was 55 degrees and mostly cloudy. The bait also used were shiners and gold fish with no success. Another fisherman was fishing in the same area and he caught 1 3 lb channel and about 10 sturgeon all with worms. It was the 1st trip this year and it was fun to use my new equipment.

c3catfishshearer 1st report of the year. I went catfishing on 5/6 on the Missouri River at the sugar creek access. I fished the down stream side of a rock Jetti. I fished from 11am to 5pm. I caught 2 small channels on worms. I one big bite on goldfish. Water was 40 and clear for the big muddy. cont. nextpost

c3catfishshearer hey I don't do the ice fishing thing but I have a couple of friends that have been doing a little all winter on farm ponds. The been catching crappie and blue gill. The are use blue jigs. I am ready for the ice to leave hoping that all the ice killed a lot of shad and catfishing should be great.
